Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
